As a kid, I wasn’t the “sporty” one. I was more into ballet and horseback riding. My dad started going to a local CrossFit gym in 2008 and would bring me along to watch. One day, the coach asked if I wanted to join the class. At 13, I found myself working out with my dad and the class. Initially, I didn’t love it and tried to avoid going, even using my braces as an excuse to skip wallballs.
But eventually, something changed, and I fell in love with CrossFit. I admired my coaches and the strong individuals around me. I watched my coach closely as they corrected form and helped people, knowing I wanted to be that person someday.
Fast forward, I earned my BSc in Nutrition and Dietetics, started coaching, and haven’t looked back. I love helping people achieve things they never thought possible, get back to activities they love, or become fitter as they age. My goal is to make your hour in the gym the best part of your day and ensure you leave feeling better than when you walked in.
A few fun facts about me: I’m originally from Ontario and had never been to Vernon until I moved here. I’m an avid knitter of hats and a big fan of spaghetti. I have a Border Collie x Blue Heeler named Finn, and when I’m not at the gym, Finn and I are likely out exploring BC’s beautiful trails. I’d love to hear about your favorite hike!
